Welcome to The Institute of Neurotransmitter Science. Our goal is to provide the best training in the world regarding the clinical application of amino acids in order to normalize the function of the neurotransmitter system. The training program is based on peer-reviewed literature (including our own papers) and on our extensive clinical experience. We suggest that you attend a conference on this material, but it is not required in order to sign up for this program.
We have an ever increasing demand for people trained in this approach, both in the US and from around the world, to provide therapy and consultations. This program is designed to provide you with the expertise needed to treat any condition related to a relative nutritional deficiency of neurotransmitter precursors.
All material is available online and at your disposal so that you can work at your own pace. Each module is followed by an exam that must be passed in order to proceed to the next module. The material in these modules covers the basic science supporting the clinical application of amino acid therapy.
Once you have gained access to a module, that module will be available to you as long as you are a member of The Institute. You will be able to review this material at any time, including any updates that will occur..
This is an extensive program, and includes:
- Teleconferences to address clinical issues and application of the therapy to patients
- Exams to assess your understanding of the material
- Over 87 modules
- Over 2000 slides with narration
In addition, each participant will enroll three patients under the consult of the faculty. Enrollment of each patient requires written faculty approval. The first patient will be enrolled after registering for the course but before starting the program modules.
The next two patients will be enrolled under faculty consult after two to six weeks after starting the program modules. The three patients will consist of:
1) A serotonin dominant patient
2) A dopamine dominant patient
3) A Parkinson’s patient
If you have difficulty in enrolling a patient in each of these areas, a faculty consult will be held to help assist in the selection process.
Patient care will be monitored by consults via teleconferences along with a weekly written status reports submitted by email. You are required to attend at least one of the teleconferences, but it is strongly advised that you attend as many as possible. Case studies and the basic science will be reviewed and questions answered during the teleconferences. Past experience has shown that these are extremely helpful in applying this material. In addition, other consultations will be available as needed to help you through this process on an individual basis.
We are looking for those providers who are serious about becoming proficient in this therapy. Once you sign up, there are no refunds for any reason.
Your tuition of $995 includes one year of membership in The Institute of Neurotransmitter Science. During that time, you will receive all communications and updates, and will have unlimited access to the information on the site. Once you have completed the program, you will be listed as a certified practitioner that will be available to patients. You will also become part of a community of providers who have exclusive access to a chat group sharing information about our experiences with this approach. As long as you are a member, you will also be among the individuals who will be considered for further research and training.
Thereafter the yearly membership fee will be $350. As a member, you continue to benefit from all of the benefits listed above. This includes all updates, chat group, the practitioner listing, special seminars that will be available only to certified practitioners, and others.
Once you have registered and paid, you will be sent a user name and password to access the material.
As time goes on, more features will be added to enhance your ability and knowledge, and you will become an integral part of a growing number of health care providers on the cutting edge of neurotransmitter science.
